Therapy offered at Coastal Kids is evidence-based, that is, therapy activities have solid research behind them. Speech Pathology research, for example, gives an understanding of just how “intense” a therapy activity needs to be and how many times a child has to practise a skill in order for it to carry over into everyday conversation.
Coastal Kids Speech Pathology is owned and operated by Melanie von Bertouch, who has been practising in North Ward since 2010 . In 2015, Coastal Kids opened a clinic in Deeragun, making access to therapy much easier for Northern Beaches families.
Late 2015 saw the addition of our final clinic from Townsville and Suburban Medical Practise. This location helped us to have complete coverage of the Townsville region so that quality speech pathology services are never far away.
Mid 2017 has seen our North Ward and Cranbrook clinics come together in a bigger, more comfortable and convenient location in West End.
